Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information the Color Swipe mobile game
(com.abusaada.colorswipe; "the app") collects, why, who it is shared with, and the
choices you have. It applies to the Android and iOS versions of the app.
1. Who we are
Color Swipe is developed and published by Abu Sa'da ("we", "us"). You can contact us about this policy or your data at the address in section 13.
2. Information we do not collect
- The app has no sign-up, and does not ask for your real name, email address, phone number or postal address.
- We do not request access to your precise location, contacts, camera, microphone or photos.
- We do not run analytics of our own, and we do not keep any information about you on servers of our own. The leaderboard is hosted for us by Unity (see section 5).
- We do not sell your personal information for money. Section 6 explains how personalised ads work and how to opt out of them.
3. Information stored only on your device
Your best score, daily challenge progress and streak, unlocked and chosen styles, your sound, vibration and colour symbol settings, your ad privacy choice and whether you have bought "Remove Ads" are saved on your device. This information is not sent to us, except your best score as described in section 5. It is deleted when you uninstall the app or clear its data.
Sharing your score: when you tap Share after a game, the app draws a picture of your score on your device and hands it to the app you pick. Nothing is shared unless you do this, and the picture is not sent to us.
4. Information collected by third-party services
The app uses the services below. They may automatically collect information from your device when you use the app. They act under their own privacy policies, linked below.
| Service | Purpose | Information it may collect |
|---|---|---|
| Unity LevelPlay Unity Technologies |
Choosing which ad network shows an ad, measuring ad performance, preventing fraud | Advertising ID, device model and operating system, app version, IP address, approximate location derived from IP, mobile carrier, time zone, ad interactions |
| Ad networks that compete through LevelPlay ironSource Ads and Unity Ads (Unity Technologies) |
Showing an ad when the app requests one, measuring ad performance, preventing fraud | Advertising ID, device model and operating system, IP address, approximate location derived from IP, ad interactions |
| Unity Authentication and Unity Leaderboards Unity Technologies |
Running the leaderboard | An anonymous player ID created for this install, your player name, your best score, and your IP address and basic device information as part of the connection |
| Google Play Billing / Apple App Store | Processing the "Remove Ads" purchase | Purchase records. Payments are handled entirely by Google or Apple; we never receive your card or payment details. |
If we add another ad network, we will list it here before the app starts using it.
Their privacy policies:
- Unity, LevelPlay, Unity Ads, Authentication and Leaderboards: unity.com/legal/game-player-and-app-user-privacy-policy
- ironSource Ads (Unity): unity.com/legal/privacy-policy
- Google: policies.google.com/privacy
- Apple: apple.com/legal/privacy
5. The leaderboard
The first time you set a new best score or open Ranks, the app creates an anonymous player for this install with Unity. No email or sign-in is involved. Your best score is then sent to the leaderboard each time you beat it.
Your player name and best score are public: other players of Color Swipe can see them on the Ranks screen. The name is generated for you, such as "FormidableReadingMountain#14017", and cannot be changed. We can see the leaderboard, and may remove scores that are clearly not genuine.
6. Advertising and your consent
The app is free and supported by ads. A banner may appear at the bottom of the screen while you play, and a full-screen ad may appear when you start another game. If you choose to watch one, an ad can also continue a game that has ended or unlock a style. Full-screen ads never appear in the middle of a game.
Before any ad is requested, the app asks for your choice:
- Android: the first time you open the app, an "Ad Privacy" message asks whether our ad partners may use your device's ad data to show ads that fit your interests.
- iOS: Apple's "Allow to track" message asks the same question. If you do not allow tracking, the app does not access your device's advertising identifier.
If you choose non-personalised ads, the app tells the ad networks that you have not consented to personalised advertising and that you opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information. You will still see ads, but they will not be personalised using your information.
Changing your choice: open Settings (the gear on the menu, or Settings on the pause screen) and tap Ad Privacy. The new choice applies to the ads requested from then on.
You can also limit ad tracking for all apps from your device settings:
- Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads → delete or reset your advertising ID.
- iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
Buying "Remove Ads" stops the banner and the full-screen ads. The optional ads you choose to watch stay available, and are only shown when you choose to watch one.
7. Children
Color Swipe is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, contact us and we will help remove it.
8. How long information is kept
Information stored on your device is kept until you uninstall the app or clear its data. Your leaderboard entry and anonymous player are kept while the leaderboard runs, unless you ask us to delete them. Information collected by the other third-party services in section 4 is retained according to their own policies and settings.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal information, to object to its processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. Residents of California and other US states may have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising.
Because the app has no sign-up, we do not hold information that identifies you by name. Most information is held by the providers in section 4, and the quickest way to control it is through the choices in section 6. For anything else, contact us using the address below and we will respond within the time required by law.
10. Deleting your data
Color Swipe, by Mahmoud Abu Sa'da, has no sign-up. This is how to delete the information the app and its services hold:
- Your game data on your device (your best score, progress and settings): uninstall Color Swipe, or open your phone's Settings → Apps → Color Swipe → Storage → Clear storage. It is deleted at once. A "Remove Ads" purchase is not lost: Google Play gives it back the next time you open the app, and you can also tap Restore purchases in Settings.
- Your leaderboard entry and anonymous player: these are not removed when you uninstall the app, so note your name from the Ranks screen first. Email us at abusaada.apps@gmail.com with the subject "Delete my Color Swipe data" and that name, including the number after the #. We will reply and delete them within 30 days.
- Advertising data: delete or reset your device's advertising ID (see section 6). The ad networks in section 4 then can no longer link new information to what they collected before. To ask a network to delete what it holds, use its privacy policy linked in section 4.
- Anything else: email the same address with the same subject. We will reply within 30 days and delete any information we hold that can be linked to you.
What is kept: purchase records are kept by Google Play or Apple as their own policies require.
11. Security and international transfers
Information collected by the third-party services is sent over encrypted connections. These providers may process information in countries other than your own, including the United States, under the safeguards described in their policies.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app changes. The effective date at the top will change when we do. Significant changes will be reflected in the app's store listing.
